A FORCE FOR CHANGE
• The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
• The YWCA is where women turn to join a dynamic community united by a passion for positive social change, racial justice and economic empowerment.
• We work to influence public policies on behalf of women and people of color.
• We speak out on behalf of women and girls and address challenges they may face today: racial, ethnic and gender disparities; domestic violence and sexual assault; a lack of affordable childcare and after-school programs; the urgency for job training in a struggling economy; the shortage of transitional and low-cost housing; and the high cost of health care.

YWCA board, volunteers and staff devote their passion and energy to ensuring that our community and the world are places for all persons to grow and thrive, irrespective of gender or ethncity. 

~Young girls foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and math in our SMART Girls and Robotics Clubs.

~Women of all ages and circumstances utilize Women's Circles for both personal and professional growth.

~Both women and men acquire the clothing and training they need to procure and maintain gainful employment for self sufficiency through the Job Outfitters Program.

~Caregivers find renewal through respite care  by utilizing our Take a Break, or Southeast NE Respite programs.

~Young women grow in self awareness and personal strength through the Young Women's Circles Program, empowering them to move into high school and college with confidence.
