ZAM Outreach, Inc.

The Mission Statement of ZAM Outreach, Inc. is to share the love of Christ to the individuals of this extended community by improving the quality of life and meeting spiritual, physical and financial needs.

Zavalla is a small community located in Southern Angelina County. More than 70 % of the residents in this community are at or below the poverty level. There are many elderly residents as well as many children being raised by grandparents. Many children live in homes that have incomes at or below the poverty level. ZAM provides financial and other assistance to the residents of this community, such as payments for utilities, house payments, rent, medication, doctors visits, gasoline to travel to medical appointments or job interviews or any other financial needs that may arise. ZAM has built wheelchair ramps for elderly patients, replaced rotting flooring in homes as well as floor coverings.
ZAM operates a resale shop, which provides part of our income used to assist residents. The balance of income comes from donations by area churches.
ZAM desperately needs a new building for our resale shop. We are currently located in an old house that was built in 1939 that is beginning to need expensive repairs. ZAM owns the house and property it is located on outright, we have no debt, only utilities and operating supplies.
