Zebra Crossings

A nonprofit organization

$23,680 raised by 174 donors

Zebra Crossings was founded in 2009 in Dover, NH to provide empowerment programs throughout the year. We serve about 250 participants who live with chronic medical conditions such as albinism, asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, juvenile arthritis, epilepsy, autoimmune diseases, and rare diseases. Our camp retreat and community programs are open to the entire family.

O
ur programs are tailored to the pace and medical needs of participants and are designed to develop each child’s skills, boost their independence, and reduce anxiety related to their medical condition. Programs are currently available to youth between ages 6 and 17, which includes a leader In training program.W

greatly appreciate the generosity of our supporters and volunteers who sustain us; without you we couldn't meet our mission. We envision a bright future for the children and families and Zebra Crossings!  Deb Taylor, our Executive Director, Emily Mundy, our Program Director, Kristen Harlow, our administrative coordinator, and the Board of Directors always have our Zebra Crossings families on our minds, in our plans, and in our hearts.“Z

ebra Crossings has given my children a power they never would have learned to unleash. Here, they feel accepted, encouraged, and understood. They are taught that what they believed to be their inadequacies, can really be the fire that burns inside of them and makes them a stronger, more courageous, and joyous person. Truly, Zebra Crossings has changed our lives for the better.”"O

ur experience with Zebra Crossings is still young, but I can already tell that it is a community that will strengthen our family’s support network. Being part of a group of people who have experienced medical hardship with their children is already helping me (and my son) feel less isolated and more confident to help our family live their best life. The chance to have fun, non-medical related experiences with families that I can lean on is a gift that I didn’t know I needed."&l
