ZERO1 is a Silicon Valley arts organization. We connect creative explorers in art, science and technology to provoke new ideas that shape a more resilient future. ZERO1 is hub to a network of regional, national and international partnerships that bridge across the cultural, academic, industry, and civic sectors. We believe art is at the center of ideation for education, corporate, societal and cultural challenges.

ZERO1 produces year round programs, such as exhibitions, performances, and artist talks focused on the convergence of art, science, and technology. We are also best known for the ZERO1 Biennial, a globally significant Silicon Valley based contemporary art biennial, produced collaboratively with cultural institutions throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. In 2013 we inaugurated the ZERO1 Fellowship Program, an innovation challenge driven opportunity for creative explorers to conduct creative research and prototyping. In the same year, we also developed the American Arts Incubator program, in partnership with and funded by the U.S. Department of State. The program sends artists abroad to collaborate with youth and underserved populations on community-based new media projects that bolster local economies, address a local social issue, and further social innovation.

In an exploratory and highly collaborative environment, ZERO1 enables artists to engage with science and technology to inspire new ideas, knowledge and artistic outcomes that lead to shifts in perspective, inspiration of possibilities, better ideas, solutions and lasting relationships.
