Target Demographics: Women in the greater St. Louis metro area identified and referred by local civic social safety net services as being in acute need and having no other credible social safety net resources available. These women are referred to AAU's unique housing, financial and lifestyle programmatic services. We partner heavily with Salvation Army, Queen of Peace, and BJC Behavioral Health.

What differentiates AAU: AAU provides transformative housing (up to two years) for women that may not qualify for housing programs. The Women's Care Center provides 1:1 support, empowers and equips women with self-sufficiency life skills, recovery, health and wellness, financial literacy, and nutrition. AAU follows graduates into the community to support each woman's new journey of stable housing, lifestyle and vocational realities.
