Activate Food Arizona

A nonprofit organization

Activate Food Arizona is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which develops and deploys innovative food system solutions in communities throughout Arizona. Activate Food Arizona owns and operates a small fleet of mobile produce markets called Farm Express which sell high quality, affordable fruits and vegetables in communities with limited access to healthy food.

Since our inception, Activate Food Arizona and Farm Express mobile markets have been on a mission to provide better access to healthy, affordable food for Arizona community members battling food insecurity in both urban and rural regions of our state.

But the work we do goes beyond simply the sourcing and delivery of fresh, affordable food to those without access. Our larger, overarching goal is to ensure all individuals have the ability to make their own food decisions and to, in turn, build more connected and united communities across Arizona.

At Activate Food Arizona, we've already served nearly 100,000 individuals and families in the state. As proud as we are about the difference we're making, we know there is plenty more work to be done, and we won't rest until all Arizonans have equitable access to the food they deserve.

Testimonials

"Receiving produce bags delivered directly to our residents is vital. It ensures that some of our city's most at-risk community members stay safely in their homes, while also keeping them fed with healthy food. The delivery of fruits and vegetables also helps to allay our residents' fears regarding travel and provides an answer to the question, 'where will my next meal come from?' We need a service like this now more than ever." - John Wall, Supportive Housing Director with Arizona Housing, Inc.
