Ambleside Concho Valley

It is the mission of the Ambleside administration and faculty to provide a "living education," where each child is guided and empowered to lead a full and free life, a life rich in relationship to God, self, others, ideas, and all of creation. To fulfill this mission, Ambleside seeks the consistent application of the pedagogical insights of the British educator, Charlotte Mason (1840-1923), according to the method established by Ambleside Schools International.

Ambleside Concho Valley is a Christian school for Pre-K through 12th-grade students. Ambleside fosters educational renewal based on Charlotte Mason's philosophy and practice. We serve the San Angelo and surrounding Concho Valley community by providing a living education, and we strive to make this living education accessible to all.

A living education empowers students to author lives that are full and free-rich in relationship to God, self, others, ideas, work, and creation. It provides the tools needed to live well in all aspects of life-personal and professional, present and future. Children who receive a living education grow in relationship with the knowledge of God, man, and the universe. They become people who give back to society, care for their kin, love their neighbors, and cultivate a rich intellectual life.
