Aggies Inspire

To inspire and encourage the next generation to pursue careers that require higher education, with particular focus on encouraging underrepresented minorities and/or economically disadvantaged for pursuit of careers in the S.T.E.M fields and/or requiring advanced/professional degrees (M.D., J.D., Ph.D, etc.).

We have five programs: Inspire Speakers, S.T.E.M Events, Mentorship Program, Volunteer Hub, and Aggies Assists
Currently, Aggies Assists is the only established one as of writing (8/26/22) and we are hoping to have the Inspire Speakers and S.T.E.M Events running by the end of this year. Aggies Assists focuses on addressing the needs of local non-profits by supplying these organizations with qualified TAMU student volunteers. We have partnerships with Family Promise BCS in providing financial literacy courses and Chicago Chess Foundation with media outreach. The following is a outline of the programs we hope to establish soon:

Inspire Speakers
- Inspire Speakers who are currently professionals working in S.T.E.M. fields:
- Give an engaging presentation with regards to their occupation and rationale for choosing said career.
- Give recommendations and advice in how to prepare for such a career.
- Targeted at middle school and high school students
- Inspire Speakers who are currently university students:
- Give recommendations to high school seniors and juniors regarding the transition from high school to college.
- Give perspective in selecting a major and achieving academic excellence at university.

STEM Events
- Professional or university student lead event where middle school students will work on an interactive S.T.E.M project.
- A non-interactive S.T.E.M. project that is more advanced will be performed by industry professionals and trained university students before the interactive project.
- Establish and implement semi-annual science fairs with partner school districts.
