For over 25 years we have served over 145,000 immigrants from more than 160 countries. We are experts in immigration law and have carved out specialized programs to serve the hardest to reach clients including unaccompanied children, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, families facing separation, and detained immigrants. AI Justice is the only legal service provider in South Florida that solely serves low-income immigrant families and never charges clients for any services.

Year-round we execute efforts to provide comprehensive services to low-income immigrants from all backgrounds:

  • Community legal screenings to identify immigrants eligible for relief and representation and inform them about immigration law and how it affects them.
  • Legal advice and assistance to a wide range of immigrants including children, asylum seekers, immigrants with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), young DACA recipients, and survivors of human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence, among others.
  • Direct legal representation before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and before the immigration court to both detained and non-detained immigrants.
  • Know your rights presentations to inform immigrants on their rights and changes in immigration policies, rules, and operational changes.
  • Partner with other organizations and the legal-volunteer community for legal clinics to advice and counsel immigrants on processes and solutions.
  • Partner with other organizations and actors to inform and train the legal, the law-enforcement, social services.
  • Observe and challenge unjust immigration policies and practices, especially in immigration detention.
  • Individual and system advocacy efforts through litigation, research and publication of reports, direct work with government officials and lawmakers, and media outreach.
  • Class action litigation efforts on behalf on individuals and groups to drive systemic change.
