Who We Are

The Alamo Area Council, BSA, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, serves a 13 county area imparting the Scouting program to over 8,000 youth in South Texas. The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. We develop the next generation of leaders by investing in character, confidence, and civic responsibility. Through values-based programming grounded in the Scout Oath and Law, youth gain practical leadership skills, ethical decision-making abilities, and resilience built through real world challenges.
