Allied Arts Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Mission

The mission of Allied Arts Foundation is to support artists, art projects, and arts-related organizations by providing 501(c)(3) non-profit fiscal sponsorship, artist awards, and arts advocacy, as well as other support as determined by the Board of Trustees.

Description

Now celebrating over 50 years of supporting the arts, Allied Arts Foundation was founded in 1967 to support artists and arts organizations with grants, awards, fiscal sponsorship, and arts advocacy.

OUR NEED
Thanks to your help last year we were able to meet all of our programming goals in 2020. Let's do it again! With quarantine rules in place we are unable to produce our annual auction to provide vital funds needed for our 2021 programs. We need your help!

OUR PROGRAMS
Your donation will help keep our many programs running:

• High School Arts Awards: Our Robert J. Block Awards for Artistic Excellence are given annually to 3 students in EACH of Seattle's 16 public high schools - 48 awards a year!
• Artist Grant Awards: We give $15,000 to Washington State artists. Our 2022 awards will support Crafts.
• Artist Fiscal Sponsorships: We sponsor over 60 artists and arts organizations, allowing them to accept tax-deductible donations and produce amazing art.
• Music Scholarships at Key to Change Studios: We fund musical training for low income students in South King County.
• Poetry Award: We partner with Floating Bridge Press to offer an annual award for the best single poem submitted to their book-length competition.
• Arts Advocacy: We lobby as needed for arts and cultural preservation initiatives, like the Port of Seattle' recent successful reinstatement of their 1% for arts funding.
