The Alpha Lambda Education Foundation was created on October 8, 1999 by the brothers of the Alpha Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The Foundation was created to foster scholastic achievement and educational excellence in the lives of Metro Louisville youth. The Foundation achieves this goal through the allotment of scholarships and other monetary allotments to Metro Louisville youth to encourage them to attend and graduate from institutions of higher learning.
