Altered Tails

As AZ's largest nonprofit spay/neuter clinic, our mission is to provide accessible and affordable high-quality spay/neuter services for companion animals, animal rescues, and free roaming cats, while increasing access to veterinary care for low income communities and eliminating euthanasia as a means of animal population control.

With over 6,000 surgeries performed every year, Altered Tails works every day to build the community animals and their owners deserve. The community we can build together.

We rely on donations to expand our services, provide urgent care to those at risk, those turned away at other clinics, and those caring for colonies across the valley. Since 2003, Altered Tails' amazing team has sterilized more than 220,000 pets. Our clinic provides spay/neuter services and support to thousands of companion pet parents, caregivers of free-roaming community cats and partner rescue organizations; all working together to battle the growing overpopulation problem.
