Altered Tails

A nonprofit organization

As AZ's largest nonprofit spay/neuter clinic, our mission is to provide accessible and affordable high-quality spay/neuter services for companion animals, animal rescues, and free roaming cats, while increasing access to veterinary care for low income communities and eliminating euthanasia as a means of animal population control.

With over 20,000 surgeries performed every year, high quality/affordable access to care, and more services for outdoor cats than any clinic in the state, Altered Tails works every day to build the community animals and their owners deserve. The community we can build together.

We rely on donations to expand our services, provide urgent care to those at risk, those turned away at other clinics, and those caring for colonies across the valley. Since 2003, our clinics in Phoenix and Mesa have sterilized more than 200,000 pets. Our clinics provide subsidized medical care for over 30 rescues across the state, helping them save more homeless animals. Altered Tails also provides 11,000+ surgeries on free roaming cats, more than any organization in the state, helping our community battle the growing overpopulation problem.

Help us build the community we all deserve.
