Amarillo Rescue Coalition

Amarillo Rescue Coalition (ARC) is a foster-based animal rescue with a mission to change the lives of Amarillo animals. ARC is committed to helping the animals in our local municipal shelter who are at risk of euthanasia by placing them into loving foster homes. The primary focus of a foster family is to provide the love and care these animals have been in need of for so long. Our organization provides all supplies and medical care for every animal in our program so the foster home can keep their focus on the task at hand. Foster homes aid in getting our dogs and cats into successful placements with adopters. Additionally, through education programs we hope to assist with the huge pet over-population problem we are facing in Amarillo.

ARC was formed in 2020. Our board of directors collectively have over 68 years of animal-related experience and have all volunteered and/or worked in the animal welfare field. Our goal is to continuously improve the outcomes for our shelter animals and strive for a higher standard of care for the pets in our community.
