Amazing Aussies is an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to rescuing Lethal White Australian Shepherds and matching them with new forever families while raising awareness to eradicate Merle-to-Merle breeding through educational programs

Amazing Aussies is entirely foster home based. We rescue dogs that are born deaf, blind, or deaf and blind due improper merle to merle breeding practices. Statistically 25% of a merle to merle litter will be born primarily white and deaf, blind, or both. We are not only dedicated to the rescue and placement into loving forever homes, but also to education. Amazing Aussies participates in education programs throughout the year with various organizations and schools to teach that special needs does not mean a lack of quality of life and that we should all be accepting of our differences.

Amazing Aussies rescues primarily from shelters.. All dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and any needed medical care provided. In many cases this also incudes an exam with the eye specialist. Our adoption process incudes a home visit as well as reference checks.

We remain interested in and committed to the welfare of our dogs beyond the adoption process. Our adopted dogs are always welcomed back to the rescue if their owner is no longer able to care for them, no matter what the reason. We are also providing lifetime care for several seniors and those with more specialized needs at dedicated forever foster homes.

Amazing Aussies is 100% volunteer and donation based. All of your donations go directly to the dogs in our care.
