Animal Care and Welfare, Inc.

Founded in 1970 as an all volunteer, non-profit humane organization, Animal Care and Welfare, Inc. strives to further the humane treatment of animals in the greater Pittsburgh area. To accomplish this mission, we assist low-income animal guardians with the cost of emergency veterinary care for their sick or injured pets, provide assistance for the spaying and neutering of companion animals, and promote the rescue, foster, and adoption of homeless pets in Allegheny County and the surrounding area

With this on-going program, we provide certificates to qualifying animal guardians to help defray the cost of spay and neuter surgeries for residents of the greater Pittsburgh area. Annually, we issue approximately $30,000 in certificates for these surgeries at local veterinary clinics.
