Animal Friends, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

To ensure the well being of companion animals, while ending overpopulation, abuse and unwarranted euthanasia.

At Animal Friends, we know that spay and neuter programs are the only way to proactively relieve the pet overpopulation problem. In Allegheny County alone, conservative estimates show that 20,000 homeless animals are euthanized every year. The problem is simple: there are too many pets and not enough homes. Animal Friends offers low-cost spay/neuter and vaccine services to ensure that all families can afford to keep their pets healthy. Using conservative "multipliers" to estimate the number of offspring that would have been born in the absence of any spaying and neutering efforts, Animal Friends' low-cost spay and neuter program has prevented the births of more than 2.5 million unwanted kittens and puppies since 1993.
