Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley

The mission of our no-kill shelter is to find safe, loving homes for abused, abandoned and homeless animals in the A-K Valley and to educated the public about responsible pet ownership.

Animal Protectors is celebrating its 50th year providing animal care services to Allegheny Valley communities including 2 low-cost rabies clinics per year, at Trap/Neuter/Return program for community cats, foster care, lost/found services, and an emergency pet food bank. We also take animals in need from emergency services personnel. Animal Protectors is an independent, non-profit organization that relies on donations and grants for funding.
