Arizona Healing House for Children

The mission of Arizona Healing House for Children is to heal and nurture the inner being of each and every child, pre-teen and young adult that has been a victim of abuse or neglect. We will heal Arizona children ages 4 - 21 years regardless of race, religion and background. We will heal the inner beings of these fragile children and help guide them in to leading productive, prosperous, drug-free lives. While we cannot change the pasts for these children, we can greatly impact their futures

There is a tremendous need in this community to not only take children of abuse and neglect out of volatile and dangerous living environments but to then further heal the inner beings of these fragile children. At a time in their young lives where the world around them is filled with uncertainty, these children are losing the most important elements of all; their home, their family. This can have devastating emotional consequences on a child that can last a lifetime if gone unaddressed, the child unhealed. Some studies show as many as two-thirds of people in drug and alcohol abuse programs report they were physically, sexually or emotionally abused during childhood. We will heal these fragile children and guide them in to leading the most productive and prosperous lives possible. The community desperately needs a place where children, parents and community can all come together to learn from one another, to respect one another, to share together while overcoming painful past memories for the betterment of their futures. We will offer a place for sibling reuniting for children separated from one another during the fostering process. These children WILL know when they will see each other next. We will be a place for respite for the valued foster parent/guardian. Whether a date night or a day running errands we will provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children, allowing the foster parents/guardians some much needed time off. We will be a place of celebration; birthdays, graduations, holidays, family reunions. We will teach everyday living skills to the older youth transitioning out of foster care with cooking, cleaning, interviewing, even budgeting classes. Our programs will always be catered towards helping these children of abuse or neglect lead the healthiest, drug-free, productive lives possible.
