Please help the ACC help the arts sector!

We are celebrating 20 years!

The Arts & Culture Collaborative (ACC) has been promoting, connecting, collaborating and advocating for the arts in the Greater Waterbury Region and Naugatuck Valley since 2006!

In this time of uncertain arts funding, we need your support more than ever -- not only for the ACC, but for our members who are providing arts and culture programming, entertainment and education.

You can play a key role in continuing to make the arts flourish! Your donation will help us continue services such as these:

  • Acting as YOUR go-to resource for the arts. Our comprehensive events calendar and free weekly and
monthly e-newsletters feature shows, exhibits, workshops and more! You'll
also find us on Facebook and Instagram, as we bring you up-to-date details about
    events happening throughout the area.

  • Connecting local arts organizations and artists with resources that provide funding, grants and opportunities as the arts community continues to navigate and revitalize from the impact of the pandemic.

  • We have been hosting regional listening sessions where community members share their thoughts and ideas on the present and future landscape of arts and culture experiences in their local towns. We have used the feedback to reassess and refresh our strategic plan, optimizing our goals and directing the ACC in serving its members and and the residents of our region.

  • Working with our partners to inspire support for the arts, especially with the state legislature.

How the Arts Affect You and Your Quality of Life • The Arts are a Good Investment

  • Cultural organizations as well as art and music activities and events make your town a place that people want to live in and visit.

  • Arts mean business for our communities! The ACC participated in a national study with the Americans for the Arts to gauge economic impact of the arts. Here's some of the impact:

    • In the Greater Waterbury Region, the sector generated $21.4 million in economic activity during 2022
($16.3 million in spending by arts and culture organizations and an additional $5.1 million in event-related expenditures by their audiences).

    • That economic activity:
       -- supported 821 jobs
-- provided $35.5 million in personal income to residents
-- generated $11 million in tax revenue to local, state and federal governments.
