Awake Ministries extends love, hope, and redemption through faith-based life recovery programs and food distribution in Shelbyville, KY.

We know our work goes beyond the individual.

LIFE RECOVERY
Unlike many other 30-day recovery programs, our Phase 1 Program lasts for 4 months and comes at no cost thanks to donors like you.  

This looks like:

• Healing and deliverance through the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery, discipleship, prayer, and behavioral health services.
• Adult education to include communication, financial literacy, parenting classes, GED classes, and career readiness.  
• Workforce development at The Paddock Coffee Shop.  
• A launch into the community through volunteerism, job placement, and leadership development.  

After completing Phase 1, residents have the opportunity to apply for an 8 month long Phase 2 program. 

This looks like:

• Living in Phase 2 housing while working full-time and building savings 
• Programming one day a week
  • Leadership development
  • Discipleship
  • Finance coaching
  • Creative expression
  • Behavioral health services

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Awake Ministries also oversees the largest food bank in the region. We serve the food needs of over 7,000 people monthly.  We rely heavily on the faithfulness of God and the support of our community to continue in our work.
