Ayiti Cheri Foundation

Our mission for AYITI CHERI FOUNDATION is to preserve Haitian culture in the diaspora and provide access to after-school programs and summer camp activities to families living in New Orleans and St. Marc,Haiti. We believe that we can contribute to the changing state of our youth when we educate ourselves and invest in the children.

Our goal for GiveNOLA Day is to raise funds for our literacy program. We currently offer after-school and summer camp programs in New Orleans and St. Marc, Haiti to assist our youth with reading and language skills. In order to become recreational and life-long readers, students need the opportunity to practice and develop their literacy skills in relaxed and enjoyable environments. Activities such as group discussions, storytelling, leisure reading, literacy games and other such reading-based interactions can foster youths' interest and motivation to read.

GOAL

Our goal is to educate the diaspora and enable the most vulnerable children to escape from social poverty through programs that allow them to attend school.
