Arizona OIC's mission for the past 55 years is to help people help themselves through accessible education, career preparation, skills training, and job placement assistance. Through our services we seek to develop the "whole person" with the goal of self-sufficiency. Arizona OIC's programs and facilities have provided recruitment, training, job placement assistance, & employee services to the unemployed, underemployed, unskilled, & dislocated workers for more than 55 years.

Back to School- Stay in School! Helping Students Achieve Greater Academic Performance: GAP Program.
In partnership with ASU, the NAACP and Maricopa Community Colleges, the OIC is now taking registrations for students Grades K - 8th for the GAP Program. The GAP Program is a series of workshops designed to introduce students to education in a variety of careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Learning Sessions are held the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9:00AM - Noon

Kids Can Code
The program is needed because there is a shortage of female and minorities in tech careers and program gives low-income youth a positive activity for the summer. will teach students to design and write computer programs as delivered through "Kids Can Code: A Summer Academy," during the months of July and August. The academy will teach disadvantaged youth introductory skills in coding and computer programming in a structured four-hour (4) per day, four (4) days a week classroom setting., support students' learning that can be easily transferred to skills useful when they return to their public education classrooms. In depth training will be provided to a small group of disadvantage youth to enrich and expand their knowledge of high-tech skills and learn the creation of algorithms. The academy purpose is to work with twenty-five highly motivated, low-income youth to give them thorough training in coding and computer programming that can lead to better future career opportunities. The Academy provides a method to develop the following strong educational skills: critical thinking, problem
solving, knowledge retention and teamwork that are all valuable in the current and future workforce. The program's mission matches AZOIC's mission that is…"to help people help themselves, through accessible education, career preparation and skills training." The Academy gives disadvantaged youth the foundation of
critical technology skills in preparation for future careers.
