Ballinger Cares

Ballinger Cares is a food pantry and resale center. The mission of Ballinger Cares is to provide sustainable items and a variety of services and resources for people who are distressed or disadvantaged in Ballinger and the surrounding area.

Our services include distribution of free food and very low cost adult and children's clothes, shoes, small kitchen appliances, household decorative items, bedding, furniture, toys, bikes, health equipment, and many other items. All items for sale are donated items from our local community. These items will be given away to anyone who is in immediate need.

Our facilities host several agencies dedicated to helping those in need: Meals on Wheels, CARR (city and rural rides), HAWC (Health And Wellness Coalition), Cornerstone Community Action Agency, and AA 12-Step Program meetings. We also work with the local Ministerial Alliance to help anyone in need. We are striving to be a one-stop resource for anyone in need.

Future plans include trying to formulate a team to build ramps and do minor repairs for the elderly or disabled, possibly classes on how to stay healthy or handle money, maybe a place for monthly blood pressure checks and a place for shot clinics.
