Barneston Community Center Foundation

"Our Mission is to promote and enrich our community and the surrounding areas by providing an accessible and an inclusive facility, recreational programs for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and provide a place for a diversity of activities."

The Barneston Community Center was originally the Barneston School Gym built in 1952. The school closed in the 1980s and over time the historic building remained open as a gym and
community center. Bill Petersen took care of the entire property(inside and out) for many, many years with the hope that adults and youth could still utilize the gym for sports activities and events. Over time, the building has been updated in many ways. Our mission is to keep this neat building open
to the public for years to come.
