The Barrio Neighborhood Planning Committee (BNPC) is about preserving, renovating, and educating the Barrio neighborhood and its families. One of our important projects is to renovate an empty lot, located, at 918 South Houston, into a new green space park, called La Plazita Park. This lot measures 170 feet by 140 feet and will include a new half-circle metal stage with speakers and a sound system.
Your generous donations will help support the building of this 40 feet long by 30 feet wide by 12 feet high stage. Musical performances, educational programs, and other events will be held on this stage. La Plazita Park will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will provide free WIFI services daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Food truck and other vendors may sell their products, people will visit, sit and relax, use WIFI internet services, and feel safe in this well-lit park.
