The Barrio Neighborhood Planning Committee (BNPC) is about preserving, renovating, and educating the Barrio neighborhood and its families. One of our important projects is to renovate an empty lot, located at 918 South Houston, into a new green space pocket park, called La Plazita Park, which is owned by the BNPC. This lot measures 175 feet by 140 feet and will include a new half-circle metal stage with speakers and a sound system.
Your generous donations will help support the building of this 40 feet long by 30 feet wide by 12 feet high metal domed stage. Musical performances, educational programs, and other events will be held on this stage. La Plazita Park will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. where food truck and other vendors may sell their products, people will visit, sit and relax, enjoy entertainment and learn, and feel safe in this well-lit park.
