BAYOU COUNTRY ANIMAL FOUNDATION

A nonprofit organization

Animals have a wonderful way of bringing joy into our lives, whether we share a home with them or enjoy them in nature. The Bayou Country Animal Foundation is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is working to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. We do this through a three pronged approach which focuses on programs in education, support, and service. Using this strategy, we are able to have the greatest impact in our community.

Our support programs offer help to pet owners who may need guidance with animal care including appropriate enclosures, temporary food assistance, and general support tailored to their personal needs. Our temporary food assistance program called C.A.N. (Community Animal Nutrition) provides animal food to those in need due to financial insecurity. This program is designed to keep pets with their owners rather than relinquishing them to animal shelters or abandoning them.

Our service programs are a part of our long-term goal of developing an animal service center that will offer low cost spay/neuter services to help decrease the number of unwanted pets in order to reduce the number of animals euthanized in local animal shelters.

Testimonials

We are excited to have teamed up with Kendra Scott to host a fundraiser in 2024 and are hoping to team up again in 2025.
We also team up with Cane's who hosted a 2024 fundraiser for BCAF. With every effort we hope to continue getting closer to our goals.
