Mission

The Foundation, through a unique blend of cutting-edge and exemplary programs, enables Bellevue College to attract the best and brightest students and faculty. By raising funds to support quality education and learning opportunities at BC, we offer a pathway for students to change their lives and become exceptional.

Description

We are BC…a community of students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and neighbors who together are building the future of accessible education and learning opportunities through proudly supporting student success, academic innovation, and community growth. Our faithful commitment offers scholarships for students to relieve financial burdens and produces programs that propel BC to the forefront of higher education locally, nationally, and internationally.

We believe that anyone who dreams of obtaining a higher education at Bellevue College will have the access and support to pursue it. We develop partnerships with local leaders and business members to inspire student success, academic innovation, and community growth, and we provide the Bellevue College community scholarships, grants, and special programs.

When you join We are BC, you support:

Scholarships: You will help fund more than 40 established scholarships for BC students pursuing careers in nursing, interior design, information technology, and more. Scholarships are also available for students with great academic achievement but also great financial need, as well as students who are returning to higher education after a hiatus.

BC Programs: You will provide funds to a wide range of programs, activities, and departments fostering academic innovation and contributing to community growth. Some of these include Autism Spectrum Navigators, Early Learning Center, KBCS, Radiation Therapy, and the Science and Math Institute to name a few.

Mini-Grants: You will foster a state-of-the-art atmosphere for faculty and staff where they are able to provide the best educational opportunities for students. Mini-Grants support projects and programs that would otherwise go unfunded. Some recent grant awards include medical center scenario-based learning and microscopic cameras.

Margin of Excellence Awards: With your gift, you will recognize faculty and staff who go above and beyond in support of quality education for students. In addition to the recognition, award recipients receive a stipend.

Greatest Needs: In order to fully support student success and cutting-edge academic programs, you will deliver robust programs, meet unexpected challenges, and take advantage of opportunities as they arise, like sending students to a national academic competition when unexpectedly the entire team qualifies.
