Half of all children will experience at least one significant Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE), such as abuse, neglect, or family instability, before the age of 18. These are not just statistics. These are real children in our local schools, churches, and neighborhoods.

Bethesda's 1 in 2: The Faces of Childhood Trauma campaign shines a light on this harsh reality and invites the community to be part of the healing process. Through increased awareness, access to trauma-informed care, and expanded services, we aim to bring hope to the faces behind the numbers.
