Bethesda Health Group

Through our group of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC), Bethesda Health Group has achieved the milestone of serving St. Louis seniors and their families for more than 130 years with a full range of services, ranging from independent and assisted living to long-term skilled nursing care.

In keeping with our charitable mission, through the John W. Rowe Humanitarian Care Fund, Bethesda annually provides millions of dollars of long-term charity care and senior living financial assistance to seniors who have outlived their assets and find themselves unable to pay for care and services. During the last six years, Bethesda cumulatively has provided more than $50 million to seniors. This mission often distinguishes Bethesda from others, having never asked a resident who has depleted his or her financial resources to no longer live with Bethesda or not receive Bethesda care and services.

Bethesda's long tradition of operating under our guiding principal is to provide quality care and services through innovation and education on all levels (benefiting seniors, caregivers and staff). In recent years, Bethesda received the "Spirit of Innovation" award from Lincoln Healthcare recognizing our efforts in technology and geriatric care management and recognized as one of the "Best of the Best" by the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association. For several years, Bethesda has been recognized as one of "Top 50 Businesses in St. Louis Shaping Our Future, " and more recently a finalist in St. Louis Business Journal's"Best Places to Work , 2020."
