Give Today, Change a Child's Tomorrow

At Blessed Sacrament Academy, we believe that every child deserves a strong start—no matter their circumstances. Every day, we welcome little ones from across San Antonio into our Child Development Center. Many come from families facing financial hardship, housing insecurity, or generational trauma. But here, they’re not defined by struggle—they’re met with care, consistency, and love.

We see it every day: children who arrive hungry, tired, unsure. Some haven’t had a proper meal in days. Others are still learning to use the potty but don’t have access to diapers at home. Many are experiencing the world for the first time through our classrooms—where learning tools, toys, and structure help them build confidence and develop the skills they’ll need for kindergarten and beyond.

This is where your support matters most.

Your gift provides so much more than just supplies, it provides stability. It fills tummies with warm, nutritious meals. It gives little learners books, puzzles, and toys that help their brains grow. It offers clean water, safe potty-training spaces, and a joyful outdoor play area where they can laugh, run, and just be kids.

These early years are critical. The care and education we provide now will shape the kind of students, and people, these children will become.

But we can’t do it without you.

To continue this life-changing work, we need to raise $200,000 by September 18, 2025, as part of our Big Give campaign. Without these funds, we risk delaying much-needed upgrades to our classrooms and outdoor spaces, limiting how many families we can serve, and postponing the support systems our children rely on every day.

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to truly change a life—this is your moment.

Thank you for being part of the BSA family. Thank you for showing our children that their future is worth investing in.

Who We Are

Since our founding in 1926 and our re-founding in 1989, by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, our mission continues with compassion, respect and acceptance to educate and encourage children, youth and families.

Three hundred plus children per year mostly from low income families ages 6 weeks to 5 years, are served in the Child Development Center facilities. Affordable costs, quality early childhood education and a caring staff serve the community by allowing parents to remain employed or in school with confidence their children are well cared for.

Since our Parent Success Academy (formerly Parents' Academy) began in 1994, thousands of parents have experienced new learning and support as they navigate the challenging role of raising healthy children. Our programs build positive parenting behaviors for all families and are especially effective for families healing from child abuse and neglect.
