Bluegrass Pug Rescue, Inc.

Hello -  Thank You for considering Bluegrass Pug Rescue, Inc., (BPR) for your 2024 Give for Good Louisville donation! We are an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) organization and are celebrating our 10-year anniversary.  Since our inception, BPR has rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 550 Pugs.  This would not have been possible without donations from Pug lovers and supporters like yourself!  Each dog we rescue has his or her own past and a special journey to finding a forever home.  Many of the dogs that come to BPR have health conditions that must be treated prior to being adopted.  

On average, our expenses to treat a dog in our care is 4 times the amount of the adoption fee and as an all-volunteer organization, donations are the primary way we are able to save each Pug.  Every dollar donated to BPR through Give for Good Louisville will be used to help the dogs in our care.  We have a tremendous group of friends and their kindness and generosity are amazing - we never take them for granted.

Who We Are

Bluegrass Pug Rescue's mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Kentucky and surrounding areas. We strive to educate the public about the Pug dog breed including its personality, special needs, and care. We provide needed medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the Pugs that come into our rescue.

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and 100% of your donation goes directly to pay for Pug-related medical care.
