Our mission at the Borders Foundation is to celebrate the diverse artistic voices of BIPOC and LGBTQ artists. Every artist deserves equal representation in the arts community, and we are dedicated to creating a platform that empowers and uplifts artists from historically marginalized communities. Through exhibitions, performances, and other events, our goal is to increase visibility for BIPOC and LGBTQ artists, foster cross-cultural connections, and inspire positive social change.

The Borders Foundation is positioned to significantly impact the Greater New Orleans area by enriching the cultural landscape with underrepresented artists' work, empowering BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, boosting the local economy by supporting artists, preserving and evolving cultural traditions, inspiring future generations through education and mentorship, promoting cultural tourism, and fostering cross-cultural understanding. By showcasing diverse artistic expressions, the Foundation strengthens community bonds, contributes to economic vitality, ensures the continuation of New Orleans' unique artistic heritage, and enhance the city's reputation as a cultural destination.
