The Brashear Association

The Brashear Association is a community organization providing services to individuals, families, and community groups to help them build stronger, healthier lives and neighborhoods. Based on the core belief that everyone deserves a fair shot, The Brashear Association provides South Pittsburgh and Hilltop residents and community groups with access to quality programs and services that address social, educational, health, and economic challenges.

Brashear serves more than 3,500 individuals annually. Many of them are assisted through at least two programs and/or services, accounting for more than 7,500 interactions. Brashear's service area is very large, serving approximately one-third of the city of Pittsburgh. Brashear serves residents of 12 neighborhoods through the Grab'nGo Brashear Food Pantry. Brashear's family services include direct services, such as food and utility assistance, youth programming for out-of-school time and summer, case management for individuals who face multiple barriers to self-sufficiency, and employment services for unemployed and underemployed adults and adolescents,
