As our children begin to progress from childhood to being an adult the process has
become exponentially more difficult as society and technology continue to explode at a pace
that is far too great for anyone to keep up with and maintain any sense of stability and success.
They are being left behind intellectually and are emotionally and are socially immature. We
must help them along the way. They are exposed to the darkest of alarming issues such as
addictions, self-harm, pornography, and others that are undermining the way this education
used to happen. Our method had to evolve to meet their needs in a way that is attractive and
functional to youth as they are capable of accepting and understanding.
We have evolved through education and experience working with modern youth to
understand how to meet those needs. Our program is built on offering young people life skills
education through mentorship and modeled behaviors while meeting the fundamental needs
of development they are missing. We address the difficult issues through proven successful
treatment models such as motivational interviewing, cognitive therapy, experiential therapy,
existentialism, and the 12 Step recovery model.
We believe the missing component has been the lack of trusting relationships so
developing and fostering connections built on trust and genuine care become the glue that
gains the needed buy in and trust necessary for true and lasting change. Because of those deep
relationships we are able to develop a continuum of care that should build into a lifetime
connection of mentorship and an extension of family.
Young people need to understand what emotions are and how to manage them without fear of
judgement or punishment for the reactions that are the product of not having this skill. We
nurture those fundamental and developmental needs in an environment where the stresses of
the family and expectations at home are not so prevalent.
It is Breakout's intention to offer these services to kids and their families anywhere and
everywhere. As each child's needs are different, our services are built on treatment plans that
are highly individualized and continue to develop as needs and issues come to light. We add a
level of case management that includes tireless efforts to find whatever resources a child and
their family might need. We feel that this holistic model is unique and what makes Breakout far.
and above anything being offered anywhere else.
Our ultimate goal is to prepare a young person to be as healthy and successful in life as
possible. We want to help them develop their character and a direction in life that suits their
personalities and desires. We believe life is a journey with unlimited opportunities and
adventures so we are preparing our youth to be aware of the dangers, to enjoy the discoveries
along the way, and to develop an authentic sense of self where they can love themselves and
pass on to their children and the world as a whole.
The hope is to establish a presence in every town and school across the nation by being
available with meetings, education centers where we can offer life skills instruction and safe
and sober fun, on school campuses with substance abuse and similar issues counseling and
support as well as education on emotional regulation and relapse prevention and honest drug
awareness. Most programs of prevention are built on academic ideas that fail to apply honest
experience and understanding of real-life applications. We design our programs based off of
combined knowledge of living out addicted lives and the input of youth who have survived that
life and understand where we went wrong.
We plan to have a presence in the court and juvenile probation system offering
counseling and mentoring services. The CPS and foster system is full of children who need help
as well. We work with certified homes and the CPS caseworkers to make our services available
to them as well.
As part of our program we offer fun outings and events. These include trips to
appropriate musical events, professional and other sporting events, weekend campouts,
cookouts, swim parties and others. We also plan to have larger events in strategic and
attractive locations to include and invite kids from all over the country.
We believe we have created the perfect program to develop adolescents through
combining therapy, support groups, mentorship, and relationship building along with life
experience and applications to help turn a generation of young people on a healthier life
pathway that ultimately leads to a better future and world for us all.
