Buck Wild Animal Rescue & Wildlife Rehab

This year, we didn’t know if we’d be able to participate in The Big Give event. The devastating Hill Country flooding in July brought our rescue many extreme challenges and unforeseen circumstances. Our wildlife rehab center is located in Ingram between Hunt and Kerrville, the center of the flood’s destruction.

Now as we enter September, we are still working in the community to this day to recover from the damages and losses. We are fundraising this year to aid our community. Not just the people, but also the many, many domestic animals and wildlife species displaced and affected by the floods. Our facility has acted as a hub for cleanup crew organization, supply donations and sanctuary for wandering souls. 

We worked diligently to aid our neighbors in cleaning and rebuilding, and had to tackle our own losses as well. In the flood we lost our transport truck, critical emergency equipment such as generators, and some of our lower animal enclosures. 

On top of our normal expenses, we now face repair bills for our grounds and enclosures. We are hoping to raise enough for a used transport van, make enclosure repairs, and fund our medical expense account to ensure all animal patients can continue to receive excellent veterinary care.

Who We Are

Buck Wild Animal Rescue & Wildlife Rehab is a 501(c)(3) non-profit nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country. We are located in Ingram, TX just a short drive from Kerrville. Each year our organization takes in hundreds of surrendered, orphaned, sick, and injured animals and provides them with around the clock care. We provide the most nutritious diets, and beautiful natural habitats that fit the needs of each individual animal. We also take in surrendered domestic pets, and adopt them out to forever homes!
