Associated Artists of Butler County

Our Mission Statement, as adopted by the Board of Directors is: To promote, encourage, and foster the Arts in Butler County. Our Vision is to: 1. Serve our local artists by providing them opportunities to share their talent and experience with others, to display and sell their work at professionally organized art exhibits offered free to the public, and to offer the opportunity to participate in high quality art classes and workshops; 2. Help both the elderly and the youth of Butler

Our art education program includes affordable after-school art classes, adult classes and workshops, and open mic nights for poets, musicians, and other art performance groups to hone their craft in a positive and safe environment. Descriptions and schedules of art education classes and workshops are available on our website at www.butlerartcenter.org. We are currently teaching children's art classes for the Butler Head Start Program and we have started teaching art to adults at the Grapeviine Center in Butler. We have summer art camps for kids and have been doing art parties for the last 4 years. We have no funding and rely on earned income to support us. We do have a few generous benefactors who donate $1 - 2,000 a year. We are 100% volunteer with no paid staff. Our teachers are paid based on class fees paid by students. We are self sustaining but would love to have funding for equipment, supplies, and free art classes for low-income children.
