Brazos Valley Coalition on Suicide Prevention

A nonprofit organization

With a vision of a suicide-free Brazos Valley, our mission and focus is suicide prevention & survivor recovery.

We believe suicide is a public health concern.
Suicide is devastating & no one is immune.
Suicide has recognizable warning signs & predictive risk factors.
Suicide is largely preventable through awareness, advocacy, education, intervention, & treatment. Every individual, family, business, church, school, & community should have a viable Suicide Prevention Plan.

We provide community outreach, community support, public awareness, crisis response, & suicide prevention education.

Testimonials

BCCOSP has helped me become stronger since losing my son Keith to suicide in 2009. I lost 2 people that day because Keithy's suicide sucked the life out of my husband Andy. Andy passed away in 2013, and it was directly related to the loss of our son. BVCOSP has become a beacon of hope to me. I have been able to minister to others, and that has really helped me heal. Helping others has taken the focus off me and my pain, to help others. I have been involved in a few suicide interventions since and feel like I am truly helping our community with the guidance of Our Lord. He puts certain hurting people in my path for me to help. - Kay Lee Duncan
