Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra

A nonprofit organization

The Brazos Valley Symphony is a non-profit performing arts organization with the mission to maintain a symphony of high artistic standards, and to promote the musical arts for cultural and education purposes in the Brazos Valley.

The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1981 through the merger of the Brazos Symphony Orchestra and the Bryan-College Station Chamber Orchestra, creating the Brazos Valley Symphony Society, a Texas non-profit dedicated to maintaining a symphony of high artistic standards. Each season, BVSO presents seven concerts along with free community performances. Our annual Children's Concert hosts more than 4,000 fourth and fifth graders, introducing young audiences to the power of live symphonic music. In addition, the Symphony and its support guild, FASO, provide educational outreach in schools, sponsor the Brazos Valley Youth Concerto Competition, and lead the Ambassador Program for high school juniors and seniors to develop service and leadership skills. These programs are sustained through fundraisers and the generosity of donors like YOU who believe that MUSIC MATTERS-for our society, our community, and for generations to come!
