CAA COVID-19 ACTION FUND

Since the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, misunderstanding and uncertainty about this virus has led to fear and hate causing racial profiling and discrimination against our communities. 

At Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) we continue to fight back. Our response to anti-asian racism and xenophobia include:

• With A3PCON and the Asian American Studies Department at SF State University, CAA has launched Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center to collect accounts of anti-Asian hate incidents. 
• Partnering with congressional, state, and local elected officials and government agencies to address racial profiling and attacks and identify community-driven interventions and solutions.
• Advocating for local, state, and federal public health and economic resources to address the unique harms being experienced by Asian Americans and Pacific islanders, especially our low-income wage workers and small business communities.
• Fielding daily Chinese and English language media requests to raise awareness and educate the community. See CAA's "In The News" web page for more.
