Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-Free Youth

Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-free Youth’s (CADY) mission is to help our local youth make healthy and safe choices by working with schools, parents, youth, and communities to prevent and reduce youth alcohol, tobacco, and other substance use and to promote healthy environments and promising futures.

Our focus is comprehensive, outcome-based substance misuse prevention via extensive collaborations, implementation of environmental prevention strategies, and development of award-winning, youth empowerment programming.

Every year thousands of New Hampshire youth make a choice—a choice to use or not use alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Substance misuse is a serious health and safety risk for our children and communities. We believe prevention is one of the most responsible, humane, and cost-effective practices to address the problem of substance misuse and addiction.

CADY is a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit organization that has made real and long-lasting impacts on the lives of young people who are threatened daily by the drug epidemic that NH is experiencing. Last year over 430 people in NH died from drug overdoses. The most responsible, humane and cost-effective strategy is to stop these serious and tragic situations from occurring in the first place.
