Calliope House, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 1976, Calliope is a non-profit organization that organizes and administers two concert series' and a folk music school. As the premier promoter of folk, roots, and acoustic music in southwestern Pennsylvania, Calliope's mission is to promote and preserve traditional and contemporary heritage-based music and its allied arts.

The Calliope Concerts series consists of 8 monthly concerts featuring the legends of folk music. The breadth of musical presentation is extraordinary, mirroring Calliope's commitment to presenting nationally and internationally revered masters of the blues, Cajun, American folk, African, Appalachian, Celtic, bluegrass and other musical traditions.
