Capital Caring Health

A nonprofit organization

Capital Caring Health (CCH) is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses. Since 1977, CCH has been at the forefront of improving care for those with advanced illnesses, regardless of their ability to pay. As one of the nation’s first nonprofit hospice organizations, CCH pioneered the establishment of an inpatient hospice unit (IPU) and played a pivotal role in drafting the legislation that created the Medicare Hospice Benefit in 1982, ensuring that end-of-life care is covered for those in need.

CCH offers a comprehensive array of services, including medical, psychosocial, spiritual, and bereavement support for families. As a safety-net nonprofit, CCH ensures that every family receives the care they need, regardless of financial circumstances, setting it apart from for-profit providers.

Through its Capital Caring Kids (CCK) program, CCH provides specialized pediatric care that addresses the unique social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of children with serious illnesses. CCH is dedicated to supporting the entire family through the challenges of long-term illness, providing guidance, comfort, and support every step of the way.
