CASA of South Central Nebraska

Every child deserves a place to call home! The mission of CASA of South Central Nebraska is to provide trained, court appointed, community volunteers to advocate for a quick, safe, permanent home for all abused and neglected children in Adams, Clay, Fillmore, Franklin, Nuckolls, and Webster Counties.

Our community volunteers, as a CASA -Court Appointed Special Advocate, represent the best interest of the child, speak for the child, and provide an independent source of information for those who must decide the child's future, so that the child may have a safe, permanent home and the opportunity to thrive. The number of trained volunteers directly affects the number of children who will be served by a CASA volunteer now and in the future. Your donation to CASA helps fund a wide range of services including volunteer recruitment and supervision, specialized training, and providing children with the help and services they need. CASA of SCNE also has a mission to provide a suitcase, rather than a large black trashbag, to children upon removal from an abusive home, each suitcase contains 3 days of clothing and hygiene items, as well as personal items. Receiving a suitcase helps with the transition into foster care, donations to the suitcase program help with the purchase of these items. A Time To Play - Community Toy Store is another mission of CASA of SCNE to ensure every child in need has toys, donations to the toy store provide us the opportunity to gift toys to a child.
