We’re here to offer more than a bag of food or a check for rent—we offer hope. We meet each person with dignity, compassion, and the promise that they are not alone. Whether it’s a farmworker picking up groceries for their children, a grandmother seeking utility assistance, or a newly arrived immigrant starting over with nothing, we walk alongside them with open hands and open hearts.

Last year, we touched more lives from our Bakersfield site than ever before in our history. Thousands of local families turned to Catholic Charities in moments of crisis—and we were there. Thanks to community support, we provided vital food, rental aid, clothing, hygiene supplies, and disaster case management services to individuals from all walks of life, from downtown Bakersfield to the most rural pockets of Kern County.
