Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler

Catholic Charities operates the only homeless shelter in Chemung County. This holiday season, we want to provide meals for our individuals housed at local motels and those housed at the Shelter. 

Currently, 25 families and numerous individuals are housed at local motels. Through a partnership with Meals on Wheels, Catholic Charities can provide hot, nourishing, delicious meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas for a very reasonable cost.

Your donations will provide meals for individuals and families experiencing homelessness during this holiday season. 

Through a partnership with local businesses, we have the opportunity to purchase gift cards to use as Christmas gifts for our individuals in Homeless Services. Many businesses are willing to offer us a discount to make this a reality. Additional funding, after the meals are paid for, will go towards buying gift cards for each individual to have on Christmas Day.
