• St. Gianna Program- offering support to survivors of domestic violence and under-supported pregnancies


• Sustainability Department- including our 4 Regional CSS Gift & Thrift Stores and our CSS Online Store

A recent example of our work:

Imagine being in the hospital for over a month and coming home to an eviction notice, a disconnection notice… AND you’ve lost your job. You’re a single mom facing this situation, and with little knowledge of available resources and no family to support you, you did what many of us would do- you panicked. First, you turned to your credit cards to pay for groceries and personal care items for you and your two teenagers. The cards were maxed out quickly, so you then cashed out your 401k. The final straw: your vehicle was stolen and returned to you totaled. You are in total crisis. 

The above seems like an almost unreal scenario, but it all happened to Crystal, a CSS client. We helped Crystal with her rent and utility bills thanks to our generous supporters.  Afterward, she wrote us this note and asked us to share it with you:

“Thank you so very much!!!!  I’m so grateful and blessed to receive this help, thank you so much."
