Did you know that in Tom Green County we have over 300 homeless including children and 13,400 individuals living below poverty level in hunger and hopelessness. Catholic Outreach Services seeks to alleviate suffering by providing food, clothing, shelter and other services for the homeless and those in financial need in accordance with Matthew 25:35-40:"I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was ill and you comforted me, in prison and you came to visit me. I assure you as often as you did it for one of my least ones, you did it for Me."

Catholic Outreach Services in 2024 served 86,701 individuals including 59,247 meals to the homeless and financially disadvantaged, 4,305 food pantry bags to 8,633 people and 18,821 clients received services at the front desk which includes men's and women's clothing, bedding, sleeping bags, hygiene items, bus passes, hotel charity, gas charity, medical charity, phone charity, emergency disaster relief, utility and rental assistance, agency referrals, and educational programs. Immigration services, pro-life ministry, and prison ministry were also provided. Catholic Outreach Services is funded mostly by individual donors and support from the local Catholic churches. Food, clothing, and shelter services are provided free of charge to those in need. The number of people seeking assistance this past year has increased by 44% which has increased our budget needs. Any financial contribution that you could extend to Catholic Outreach will enable us to minister to so many in need at home in our own community.
