Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation

A nonprofit organization

About Us:

The Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation was established in 1984 by a group of local business professionals who recognized the need for meal assistance for homebound seniors. Since then, we have grown and expanded, remaining steadfast in our dedication to serving the senior, veteran and disabled adult population of Comal County.

Our heartfelt mission is to address the everyday challenges that aging adults face, such as finding purpose, staying mobile, maintaining financial stability, avoiding hunger, and preserving independence. Our services are thoughtfully designed to provide meaningful solutions to these issues.

Senior Wellness Program:

Our Senior Wellness Program is dedicated to promoting healthy aging, both physically and mentally, for seniors in our community. We aim to enhance their overall quality of life and well-being through a comprehensive range of supportive services. These programs are thoughtfully designed to "Enrich the Lives of Aging Adults" by offering:

  • Nutritious Meals at No Cost: Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals are provided ensuring that seniors have access to healthy meals. We currently service meals in Comal County.

  • Exercises to Improve Mobility: Reducing the risk of falls and keeping seniors active.

  • Learning Opportunities: Stimulating and challenging the mind through education.

  • Social Activities: Combating depression, anxiety, and loneliness through meaningful connections.

These moments of connection and support boost self-worth and confidence, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement in the community.

Looking Ahead:

The Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation looks to the future with enthusiasm and hope, actively planning to meet the needs of our growing senior population. We remain committed to enhancing the lives of seniors through our dedicated programs and services. Our journey is driven by love, care, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
