Who Are We:

We believe that prosperous futures begin with an exceptional learning experience! CDC is a private, nonprofit organization that provides child care and early childhood education in safe, happy and healthy learning environments. Recently celebrating 55 years of service, our nonprofit continues its mission to positively impact our local community's youngest learners. CDC now proudly serves 1,300+ children across our seven Erie County centers.

In addition to Erie County, we serve families in Crawford and Venango counties and now have 18 total locations in Northwest Pennsylvania! We are the only Head Start provider in all three counties and your donation can be used to grow this and our other programs for our local infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-agers.

Additional Services:

Our students receive free vision and hearing screenings, dental exams and medical referrals each year to ensure their optimum health and wellbeing!

We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack to all children free of charge each day. For our youngest learners, we also provide formula and we also are happy to work with mothers who are nursing and prefer to send breast milk for their children.

We also provide free daily transportation (at select locations) for hundreds of children enrolled in our free Head Start program.
